Event Description:
On International Overdose Awareness Day, the National Safety Council, along with its partners [DuPage County Prevention Leadership Team, Gateway Foundation, A Man in Recovery, Live4Lali, LTM Foundation] pause to recognize the devastating toll of drug overdose in Illinois. We invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 31st in Chicago at Federal Plaza 230 S. Dearborn Street as we remember those who were gone too soon, and call for an end to our nation’s epidemic of opioid and heroin addiction and overdose deaths. Our stories and voices create the greatest impact when they are joined together. By joining us and bringing others, help us spread the message that these deaths are preventable on International Overdose Awareness Day, in Federal Plaza in Chicago.
